The Young Hindus of Greater Houston is a part of the Hindus of Greater Houston that connects Houston’s Hindu youth and promotes leadership, community service, professional networking, social dialogue, and culture in young adults. There is this difference between the love taught by Christianity and that taught by Hinduism: Christianity teaches us to love our neighbors as we should wish them to love us; Hinduism asks us to love them as ourselves, in fact to see ourselves in them. Swami Vivekananda 02 Our Mission. The Young Hindus of Greater Houston (YHGH) aims to connect young Hindus in Houston by offering leadership, cultural, social, and service programs. We have monthly programs that we encourage everyone to attend. We also hope to form a cohesive group of young Hindus all experiencing similar challenges.
